Corigliano is a town of 40 thousand inhabitants that stands majestically on a small hill surrounded by green olive groves and citrus groves of various colors. The centre of the town preserves traces of an ancient past with its alleys, the rural dwellings and ancient places of worship. The historical importance of this town in the upper Calabria Ionian is clearly visible just walking around. Among the main sites of interest are the Ducal Castle, the Church of Carmine and the Castle of San Mauro.
