The Diamante lanes are an open-air gallery: there are over 200 paintings along the walls of Diamante since 1981, following the original idea of the painter Nani Razzetti to reassess the historical center of the town. Diamante has hosted as many as 83 artists from around the world to paint the facades of houses. The operation was a success and no tourist today can visit Diamante without admiring the streets and squares of the town and its famous “Murales”.
