The bridge called San Francesco di Paola, is more commonly known as Ponte di Calatrava by the name of the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava who designed it. It was inaugurated on January 26, 2018. The bridge connects the old city with the most recent area, and boasts 104 meters of height. This fact currently makes it the highest cable-stayed bridge (id est supported by a series of cables anchored to support piers) in Europe.
