Scilla is a characteristic village for its long history and its location right off the sea. On the “Scaro Alaggio”, landing of the fishing boats, Scategna Palace rises. Continuing along the narrow streets of Chianalea, you can see ancient fountains and churches. On the top the austere Castle of the Ruffo, built for military purposes and adapted for residential use by Count Paolo Ruffo. From the Castle, you can see a wonderful panorama that includes the Aeolian Islands and the Sicilian coast.
