Project Description

The ruins of the Church of Saint Martino are the most important archaeological presence on the promontory of Stalettì. It was a small mononavata church, ending with a trichora, built on some pre-existing structures and incorporate a triconca that could be part of a thermal building or a mausoleum. Founded on the land belonging to the villa of Cassiodoro, it is currently identified with the vivariense monastery founded by the governor of Teodorico in 550 AD.
