The medieval town is located on a sandstone cliff 470 meters above sea level, about 10 km far from the Ionian coast. The municipality is divided into five urban areas: the upper town, the castle, the hamlet, the elder village and the flat. Through the streets you can observe: vaulted arches, narrow streets, historical buildings with sumptuous stone portals, numerous monumental churches and the Bombarde viewpoint. From the Castle you can appreciate the St. Anne monastic complex.
