The Silk Museum of Mendicino is located inside the ancient Eugenio Gaudio spinning mill, an historic building, built on a local sandstone ridge. This material is a kind of Red Limestone typical from Mendicino. It was used for centuries for the construction of many prestigious buildings in the town of Cosenza and the sourrounding province. The Museum has been reopened to the public in 2015, after restoration work. It is divided into different rooms that can be visited.
