The Sanctuary of San Francesco da Paola is located on the hilly part of the city of Paola, the birthplace of San Francesco. It is placed in a valley rich in vegetation crossed by a river. In front of the sanctuary there is a large square, at the limit of which stands the main facade of the temple. To the right of the main entrance, there is an arch which leads to the side part of the sanctuary. Here there is the modern basilica, inaugurated in 2000, and the Cucchiarella Fountain.
